Holding Jeffers from Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
I strongly believe what is meant to happen will- what we are suppose to discover and learn about ourselves AND each other, We. Will. It may not always be the quickest route, but eventually we will get there... one way or another. Even if we detour off our plan and go with the flow of what we think is suppose to be the next step, we will get pulled back to what our heart truly desires.
This past month I have pretty much been a wanderer with limited access to wi-fi and the lack of knowledge of where I may be "staying" with my tomorrow. I have overcome challenges, created my own opportunities, and I never gave up even when I had my doubts. I know I've learned more about myself this past month than most do in a year. And no, its not because I am travelling in a foreign country, but rather because I have decided to trust the system and open my heart & eyes to what is in front of me... Not Behind. I am conscious of my surroundings and accepting everyone I come in contact with as a teacher.
I last left off when I had decided to travel to a new country, New Zealand. I lived in an area known as Dairy Flat (a suburb of Auckland); it was quaint and beautiful, but just not me. If there is such a thing, life was too simple...
My Backyard in NZ
My friend Shannon had planned a 6 week trip. We were able
to catch up in NZ at a winery :) as well as Brisbane
and we took a weekend trip to the Great Barrier Reef
staying in Cairns.
After about two-weeks, I got word from the job I originally planned on working when I booked my holiday to Australia and decided to head back to Brisbane early. I finally admitted to myself the job I came over here to do, may never actually be "ready" for me. I sat down with my HR contact and we explored different options of what I would be interested in- I was honest with her and told her exactly what I wanted out of the entire experience, how I expect it to position me in my future, and what I would be willing to do to ensure I achieved it. With that, I moved from Brisbane to Melbourne (last Tuesday) and have started my adventure all over again.
Off to our snorkeling day trip to the Great Barrier Reef
Melbourne City
I hope you are doing something for yourself and not allowing yourself to ever get in a rut. I hope you consciously make an effort everyday to make at least one person smile and trust the "system". I hope you know it is not what it is but rather what you make it. And I hope, you fight for everything you truly want.
Love. Respect. Experience.
